Before installing, power off the unit completely by holding down the power button and sliding the red arrow to the right that reads "slide to power off." Change the screen. If after the installation the screen is white, press the home button and the power button together for at least 10 seconds. This will hard reset the iPod and the Apple logo or battery symbol should appear.
